Green Finance and Energy Centre is featured in the “Green Startup Ecosystem – Overview Report 2022”

Green Finance and Energy Center is presented in the “Green Startup Ecosystem – Overview Report 2022”, which highlights green innovations and analyzes the foundations of the sustainable business ecosystems in Bulgaria and Romania. The report was developed by Climate-KIC, ImpactHub Bucharest and Innovation Starter – a Green Finance and Energy Centre participant. In addition to a detailed recap of all relevant developments in the field of green innovation, the report also examines the latest trends and initiatives in both countries, which are poised to help successfully reduce the negative impact of human activity on the environment.

Sofia, May 27, 2025 – The first report prepared by the think tank for sustainable finance and energy, the Green Centre, was presented on Tuesday, May 27, at Sofia University. The report focuses on how Bulgarian companies report their sustainability performance. The study, compiled by a team from the Green Centre, the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, and consultants including Prof. Dr Ec. Sc. Virginia Zhelyazkova, Prof. Dr Daniela Bobeva, Assoc. Prof. Dr Marina Stefanova, Prof. Dr Spartak Keremidchiev, and others covered 214 Bulgarian companies — including banks, state-owned enterprises, publicly listed companies, and energy firms.
